Compostable Trash Bags
Plant-based. Beautifully Designed.
100% Biodegradable.
The Trash Bags, Reimagined.

A better bag for everyday life.
Millions of tons of plastic enter our oceans and natural environments each year.
We thought there had to be a better option—an eco-friendly alternative to conventional plastic bags.
Made with plant-based materials and printed with water-based ink, our compostable trash bags are certified biodegradable, home compostable, and free from microplastics, BPA, parabens, and other harmful additives.
And yes, a bit of fun.
Most trash bags come in the same predictable colors. We wanted to create something a little more uplifting. Designed to add a subtle pop of color to the brim of your bin, our bags bring a touch of everyday beauty to an often-overlooked part of the home.
Plant-based. Beautiful for the Bin.
FAQ
They're made with renewable cornstarch-based materials, PLA and PBAT, which are all certified biodegradable and home-compostable. Colors are made from biodegradable water-based inks.
Yes! You can home compost them as they're certified by BPI and OK compost HOME by TÜV AUSTRIA.
Typically it should take approximately 90 days for them to start biodegrading and 180 days to completely decompose after initial disposal depending on temperature and humidity.
Yes, they are safe to use as they're BPA, paraben and any toxin free! They will also decompose without leaving any toxins behind.
There are several types of compostable trash bags available in the market; some of them need specific conditions to biodegrade (such as oxygen or UV light). These conditions are rarely met and as a result, the bags fail to biodegrade. Our bags do not need any specific environmental conditions in order to decompose. They will biodegrade in the same way as ANY organic matters such as apples or orange peel.
Conventional plastic bags are made from petroleum-based materials which make them stronger. But what makes a bag strong also makes it very hard to biodegrade. Our compostable trash bags are made with naturally-derived plant-based materials and they can decompose in several months, not hundreds of years. As a result, they are naturally softer and more delicate than conventional plastic bags. If you use them mindfully (see handling pointers) they can be as convenient--and they're always better alternatives for our planet.
Our bags have added thickness to prevent decomposition in the bins. However, they can be sensitive to high humidity and warm/hot temperature. To avoid biodegradation in the bins, change bags regularly, avoid discarding hot items or used oils directly into the bags. Please refer to handling pointers for more details.
