G.K.P. began with a simple belief: everyday essentials should be practical, uplifting, and kind to the planet. We believe even the most ordinary products can be elevated through thoughtful design—for everyday life.
Today, our collection includes signature aprons made in California, along with certified biodegradable, home-compostable trash bags and pet waste bags—all designed to look good, feel good, and do good.
Our flagship aprons, crafted by skilled artisans in California, have become beloved staples for home cooks, Michelin-starred chefs, and restaurants alike. Designed to be much more than kitchen wear, they're part of your wardrobe—just like your clothes. Whether you're cooking, gardening, creating, or even tackling everyday chores, they're made to elevate the ordinary.

Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do—including our commitment to animals. We donate 1% of proceeds to ocean cleanup efforts and animal shelters because we believe small, thoughtful choices can make a meaningful difference.
G.K.P. is a woman-owned company founded by Kazuyo Takeda. Born in Japan, she previously worked as a designer for women's clothing brands in New York, Milan, and Tokyo. Her academic background in science shapes G.K.P.'s creative approach to design.
2017年、カリフォルニア州サンタバーバラで誕生。
G.K.P.は、毎日使うものだからこそ、使いやすく、気持ちが少し上向きになり、そして地球にもやさしいものでありたい、というシンプルな想いから始まりました。ごく普通の日用品も、デザインにひと工夫を加えることで、いつもの暮らしを少し豊かにできると考えています。
現在は、カリフォルニアで作るオリジナルエプロンをはじめ、生分解性・家庭用コンポスト認証を取得したゴミ袋やペット用エチケット袋などを展開しています。見た目もよく、使い心地もよく、そして環境にもやさしく。そんなものづくりを大切にしています。
G.K.P.を代表するエプロンは、カリフォルニアの熟練した職人たちによって丁寧に作られ、家庭で料理を楽しむ方から、ミシュラン星付きレストランのシェフやスタッフまで、幅広く愛用されています。そして、私たちが考えるエプロンは、キッチンだけで使うものではありません。洋服と同じようにワードローブの一部として、その日の気分や過ごし方に合わせて選ぶもの。 料理やガーデニング、ものづくり、さらには日々の家事まで、いつもの時間をちょっと素敵にしてくれる、そんな存在を目指しています。

コンポスタブルのゴミ袋とペット用エチケット袋には、環境に配慮した植物由来の素材と、楽しい色を取り入れました。何気なく繰り返す毎日のことに、ほんの少し楽しさをプラスできたらと考えています。
環境への配慮は、G.K.P.がものづくりをする上で大切にしていることのひとつです。そして、その想いは動物たちにも向けています。売上の1％を海洋清掃活動や動物保護施設へ寄付しています。日々の小さな選択の積み重ねが、少しずつより良い変化につながっていくと考えているからです。
G.K.P. 創業者／デザイナー
竹田和代
日本生まれ。ニューヨーク、ミラノ、東京でレディースブランドのデザイナーとして経験を積む。大学では生物学を専攻。そのバックグラウンドを生かした独自の視点が、G.K.P.のデザインやものづくりにも反映されている。
2017年、カリフォルニア州サンタバーバラにてG.K.P.を設立。
